Welcome to Clashafree Studios. We are an independent label and production house located just outside Bandon, the gateway to West Cork. It’s a relaxed, inspiring spot in the country to write, record, and release music. Here you’ll feel right at home, even if you happen to cross paths with a friendly cow or two.

But it’s not just the atmosphere that sets us apart – we produce music across a wide range of genres for artists at every stage of their journey. Clashafree Studios operates as a creative hub and label, we handle the entire lifespan of a release under one roof. That means tracking and mixing the audio, shooting high-quality music videos, and mapping out the digital release strategy.

Currently, we are the creative home for established and emerging Irish talent, including the folk-pop duo The Shruggs, my own solo project as Kees Hendrickx, and West Cork veteran Paddy Downing

While our main focus is developing our in-house label roster, our doors are always open to independent artists who want that same level of dedicated production. We work across folk, pop, traditional, and contemporary genres. Whether you need an intimate acoustic setup or a full-band arrangement, we tailor the process to what the song actually needs. No copy-paste production here. (Note: We also offer podcast mixing, voice-over recording, and video creation as part of our wider studio services).

The Shruggs An established folk-pop duo known for sold-out Cork shows and highly engaging, self-produced visual storytelling. With over 25,000 Spotify streams and a viral music video (‘West Cork’) hitting 250,000+ views, they have a proven ability to build a massive organic audience and are currently rolling out new singles for 2026.

Kees Hendrickx My personal solo project blends narrative-driven songwriting with the high-end production values we champion here at Clashafree. I am currently executing a consistent waterfall release strategy throughout 2026, building streaming momentum toward a full-length album launch in Q4.

Paddy Downing An 84-year-old veteran of the West Cork music scene, Paddy is currently partnering with us to record and release his highly anticipated debut of original music. This project is a significant cultural moment for the region, presenting a unique and compelling PR story that we are gearing up to take to national radio.
